Mountain West ATTC Sponsored Webinars

Through the collaboration of the Utah State Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (DSAMH), University of Utah, Utah Addiction Center and Mountain West Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ATTC) to develop a statewide training effort to implement SBIRT in health care settings, hospitals and clinics in Utah, we are pleased to bring you this recording of the Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) webinar presented by Gary Fisher, Ph.D., Barbara Sullivan, Ph.D. & Glen Hanson, Ph.D in June 2011. Screening and brief interventions for at risk drinkers and drug users can be implemented in primary care, emergency room, and mental health settings. These procedures have been shown to significantly prevent and reduce heavy drinking/drug use and can help identify and refer to treatment those who are suspected of having alcohol and drug use disorders. For more information on this statewide initiative, please contact Rebecca Barnett at

The Mountain West ATTC, in collaboration with the Montana Chemical Dependency Bureau, is pleased to bring you this recording of the ASAM PPC-2R Booster I - Applying Your Knowledge presented by Teri Pichot, LCSW, MAC, LAC in May 2011. This is the first in a series of ASAM Booster webinars which are created to assist you in applying the knowledge you gained from the face-to-face workshops held in March 2011.
