Angela Cornelius Dawson, M.S., LPC, MRC, Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services

Angela Cornelius Dawson has led the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services (ODADAS) since her appointment by Ohio Governor Ted Strickland in 2007.

Director Dawson oversees a staff of approximately 110 employees and an annual budget of $197 million. The Department oversees 50 county boards and certifies more than 600 treatment and recovery and prevention sites in the state.

Prior to her appointment, Director Dawson served as executive director of Project Linden, Inc., an outpatient alcohol and other drug treatment and prevention services center in Columbus, Ohio for 18 years. Dawson received her bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation education, a master’s degree in counseling and guidance and second master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from Wright State University.
