Mountain West Addiction Technology Treatment Center Grant Information

The Mountain West Addiction Technology Transfer Center (MWATTC) began in 1993. As one of the original eleven ATTCs, MWATTC developed continuing education training and undergraduate/graduate courses in addiction counseling for pre-service students and substance abuse professions. During this initial five year funding period, the states targeted for services included Nevada and Montana.  In 1998, MWATTC received funding to continue and expand its efforts (e.g., providing services to Wyoming, & Utah) and in 2004 MWATTC expanded again to include Colorado.

MWATTC is part of the Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies (CASAT) located at the University of Nevada, Reno.  Since 1993, the MWATTC has served the Center fo Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) in its mission of improving the lives of individuals and families affected by substance abuse by ensuring access to clinically sound, cost-effective addiction treatment (CSAT Mission Statement, 1992).

The MWATTC project director is Nancy A. Roget, M.S.  She can be reached at (775) 784-6265 or via her .
